Are you referring to a regular female knight, or a trash-tier female knight?
“(How trivial)”
For Luna, that single word summed up her impression of the world.
She imagined she’d be seen as a mere child—someone who’d lived for just over a hundred years, spouting nonsense.
In truth, she couldn’t claim to know everything about the world, nor did she think of herself as all-knowing.
Even so, to Luna, the world was utterly boring.
Take, for example, the war between humans and demons—it was no different.
Two races that had been at odds since time immemorial, before records even existed, locked in an endless conflict…
It was utterly meaningless.
How long would this pointless war continue to repeat itself?
If it were a war between nations, she could understand.
Expanding territory, securing food supplies… there would be some sort of reason behind it.
But the war between demons and humans? There was no clear or necessary reason.
It was simply because they found each other intolerable.
Because they were genetically programmed to view each other as mortal enemies, they fought.
“And what, pray tell, is the point of all this?”
This question had plagued her for a long time.
The demons weren’t struggling with overpopulation to the extent that they needed to invade human territory, nor were the humans in such dire straits either.
Moreover, unlike the demons, humanity wasn’t a unified front—they had fractured into numerous nations, constantly bickering amongst themselves.
Ah, it was all such a waste. The manpower, the time, the resources—all squandered on this futile war.
“Regrettably, my dear brother understands nothing either…”
If Dennis truly understood, he wouldn’t have even considered becoming the Demon King.
Though certain factions had pushed him into the role of Demon King, he could have easily chosen exile and severed all ties with the demon race if he wished.
But Dennis was hopeless.
All he thought about was becoming the Demon King, never considering what he’d do after achieving that title.
He was a fool, completely consumed by the task at hand.
“All that ridiculous acting for nothing…”
Her seemingly foolish behavior served multiple purposes: avoiding a direct confrontation with Dennis as the leader of her faction, making herself appear less threatening and easier to manipulate, but most importantly, it was meant to help Dennis.
If she were highly capable and intelligent, she might have already seized the position of Demon King without hesitation—but Dennis’s inability to do so only deepened her disdain for him.
If Dennis proved useless, then she would have to take matters into her own hands.
However, after spending so much time aiding Dennis, her own faction had become pitifully weak.
Which meant that the quickest way to turn things around would be to secure the support of one of the Four Heavenly Kings—the highest-ranking warriors of the Demon King’s army.
She had managed to ally with Tonio, one of the Four Heavenly Kings, but only out of his animosity toward Otto, another member of the Four. It was clear he held no personal loyalty to her.
Otto belonged to Dennis’s faction, and Mobius remained entirely uninvolved in the power struggle.
Though the same could be said of others, gaining the support of someone like him was crucial to reversing her fortunes.
“Dark Knight-sama. I hold you in very high regard.”
The Dark Knight, known as the strongest warrior in the Demon King’s army.
If she could win him over, the situation would change dramatically.
Not only was he a formidable force on his own, but the fact that “the Dark Knight has sided with her” would sway others to join her cause as well.
As an absolute powerhouse, the Dark Knight possessed undeniable charisma.
Unknown to many, he was incredibly popular, especially among those who valued strength above all else.
Conversely, having him side with Dennis’s faction would spell disaster for her plans.
At this point, entrusting the future of the demon race to her brother seemed impossible—and losing now would mean forfeiting any chance of victory.
In a sense, winning over the Dark Knight was even more critical than dealing with the indifferent Mobius .
“Which is why I’ve been trying to make my request…”
Despite her innocent act, her pleas fell flat.
To be fair, Luna was putting in quite an effort.
Still, the Dark Knight was terrifying.
She knew he wasn’t the type to rampage recklessly or harm others without cause.
And yet, he was terrifying.
The towering figure before her exuded miasma from every pore, the very embodiment of evil.
His presence was more demonic than the Demon King himself, enough to instill fear even in someone as cold and detached as Luna.
It was undeniable—this fear arose only when facing the Dark Knight.
“Which is precisely why I want him.”
Just standing opposite him revealed the extent of the Dark Knight’s power.
The sweat beading on her brown skin, the trembling in her legs—it was overwhelming.
If she could make him hers, the balance of power in the factional struggle would shift dramatically.
A single individual capable of influencing the battle to determine the next Demon King—such was the Dark Knight.
Whether he became an ally or an enemy…
First, she needed to show sincerity.
She would reveal her true self, something she had hidden not only from her brother but even from their father.
“Let us speak frankly, Dark Knight-sama.”
All this, to win the Dark Knight to her side.

Faced with Luna, radiating a chilling aura, I was thrown into turmoil.
Huh? Who is this?
What’s with this icy atmosphere emanating from this lady?
Who is she? Wasn’t the ditzy princess here just moments ago?
“I’ve ensured we won’t be disturbed. Please don’t stay silent as usual—speak your mind. I’ll bare all as well.”
Luna spoke in a monotone, expressionless voice.
Uh… she really made sure no one would interrupt us?
Where did that incompetent airhead go…?
Things are moving too fast—I’m completely lost.
First, I get summoned out of nowhere, then talk about wanting to be Demon King, and suddenly her personality does a 180…
And what’s with this cold vibe?
She feels like a super competent ruler.
I wish Flau could learn a thing or two from her…
“I’ll strip naked and dance if it means survival.”
I didn’t need to hear that kind of resolve…
“I won’t lie to you from here on out. If you were to join them, it would be disastrous.”
Was she worried I’d side with Dennis’s faction—the mainstream faction?
No, I’m not going there. And I’m done with your faction too.
I was planning to help her because she seemed like a simple-minded fool… What a miscalculation.
As I internally sighed, Luna continued speaking, seemingly devoid of any emotional attachment.
“My goal is to eradicate the ‘mainstream faction’ led by my brother, assassinate our father, and seize the throne of the Demon King.”
This chick… She’s worse than a terrorist…
